and PCT 1.0 respectively. This new version of PCT has been

PCT
mouse tracking technology facilitates the user in searching the
meaning of a word by just moving the mouse pointer to the target word.
This function is compatible with most of the office automated software
as well as the Internet browsers. In this new version, the accuracy of
the word capturing has been improved.
Another feature of PCT is that the system
provides pronunciations in Portuguese, Mandarin and Cantonese with the
Voice Synthesis Technology. This particular function will accelerate
the study in foreign language.
Portuguese has a highly
developed morphology and is relatively richer in inflectional
variation compared with other languages. The analyzer embedded in PCT
can recognize up to 50 different forms for a single word.
The
breakthrough of windows language limitation done by PCT 3.0 makes it
possible to perform bi-directional translation between Portuguese
and Chinese under both Western and Chinese Microsoft Windows
environment.
To facilitate the interaction with the user and PCT, PCT provides a
simple interface with icons, pictures, and the user can select the
corresponding language interface (English, Chinese or Portuguese)
independent from the Windows environment. On the other hand, the
installation of PCT is oriented by a wizard and it is simple to use.
