This project aims to investigate the best communication scheme for 11KV dispatching Center of CEM.

Since CEM considers improving her service quality, i.e. fundamentally to accelerate the restoration period of the power supply after any fault existed in the distribution network. It is also required for implementing a DMS system in the future.

INESC Macau selected the most suitable communication scheme for transferring the data and indication signals from the Customer Substations to the 11KV Dispatching Center.

In this consulting service, we studied and tested several approaches of communication technologies, such as pilot cable, PLC (Power Line Carrier), leased line, radio system, and spread spectrum, etc, and proposed the most suitable one for CEM in concerning both the economic and technical advantages.
